James Henry Crowe

JAMES H. CROWE, age 86, of Lewisburg, OH, died Saturday, September 25, 2004 at Hospice of Dayton. Born on January 20, 1918 in Verona, OH, he was the son of the late John Ellsworth and Belvia (Brown) Crowe. He was a 1936 graduate of Lewisburg Union High School and was a WWII U.S. Army Medical Corps veteran. He was retired from Vindale Corporation in Brookville, OH and had worked at Occidental Petroleum in Lewisburg, OH for many years. He was a member of the Lewisburg Lions club and was the Past District Governor for District 13H from 1992 to 1993. Member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 213 in Lewisburg and the Visitation Catholic Church in Eaton, OH. He is preceded in death by Three Brothers and Eight Sisters.

Survived by Wife of 59 years: Therese M. (Gaudy) Crowe; Daughters and Sons-in-law: Monique and Paul Dummitt of Chattanooga, TN, Roselynn and John Fullmer of Marion, OH, Patricia and Craig Szucs of Brookville, OH and Cathy and Jim Dallinger of Wichita, KS; Brothers and Sister-in-law: Orville D. Crowe of New Lebanon, OH and Ohmer Lee and Zana Crowe of Camden, OH. Ten Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at Visitation Catholic Church - 407 East Main Street- Eaton, OH 45320 with the Rev J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg at 11:15 A.M. on Tuesday with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Monday, September 27, 2004 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Barnes Funeral Home-411 North Commere Street- Lewisburg, OH 45338.
