James H. Bailey

James H. Bailey, age 69, of Lewisburg, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents Marcella Hemmelgarn Bailey and Melvin Bailey.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Cheryl L. (Heussner) Bailey; children, Karen and husband Robert Loveland, Aurora, Indiana; Constance Bailey, Charlotte N. C.; Tina and husband Mike Riche, Kannapolis N. C.; James and wife Angela Bailey, Huber Heights Oh; and Craig and wife Lori Bailey, Beavercreek, Oh; his brother Richard and wife Mariana Bailey, Brookville, Oh; and brother William and wife Ruth Bailey of Plant City Fl.; his 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Jim retired in 1992 from the Dayton Fire Department as an Engineer/Fire Fighter after 25 years of service. He was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. He was an avid classic car enthusiast. He was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and Mitchell Auto Association. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Englewood Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, 1500 Shiloh Springs Road, Trotwood, OH with President Darrell Evans officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio.
