James Ray Edwards, Jr.

James Ray Edwards, Jr., age 65, of Lewisburg, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Kettering Preble Hospital in Eaton, Ohio. Born on February 18, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late James Ray & Phyllis Mae (Arnold) Edwards, Sr.

James graduated from Twin Valley North High School in 1977.

James began his lifelong career as a butcher at 17 working at Hessemans in Verona, Ohio. He continued his career at Ketron's Meat Plant in Eaton, Ohio. He then went on to run Benner Meats in New Lebanon, Ohio for many years, something he was very proud of. He then worked as a meat cutter for Marsh Supermarket in Middletown, Ohio where he retired. 

He was a dedicated and devoted father and grandfather above all else, always making sure everyone was happy and taken care of.

If you knew Jr you know his presence filled any room he entered with laughter and fun, always the life of the party. 

He had a heart of gold and never met a stranger.

He leaves behind many friends. 

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Preceded by his uncle, William T. Edwards.

Survived by his children & spouses, Jessica & Benjamin Winter, Ashley & Anthony Taylor, and Brandi & Matt Spence; sister, Susan Ann Noble; grandchildren, Liora, Alyxander, Abraham, Alfred, Adrian, Andre, Raygan, Braelynn, and Vincent; several nieces and nephews. 

Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
