JAMES "JIMMY" EDWARD CHRISTMAN, age 58, of New Paris, Ohio, died on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in New Paris, Ohio. He was born on June 1, 1955 in Richmond, IN; son of Ralph Edwin & Phyllis Alberta (Irelan) Christman. Jimmy had worked for many years in Construction with his friend, Scotty.

Jimmy is survived by his father & step mother, Ralph & Nellie Christman of Eaton, Ohio; mother & step father, Phyllis & Forrest Fichthorn of Breckenridge, Texas; son, Elijah Mountain Blue Douglas of Colorado; sister, Lynn Ellen Oliver of Sylmar, California; half-brothers, Bruce Kelly of Sylmar, California, Randall Kelly of Sylmar, California, Gary Brooks of California, Michael Christman of Las Vegas, Nevada and Kris Childs of Lubbock, Texas; half-sisters, Lois Smith of Palmdale, California and Ruth Bogert of Anchorage, Alaska; step brothers, Tom Christman of Eaton, Ohio and Paul Christman of Crown Point, Indiana; step sisters, Kathy & Peggy both of Anchorage, Alaska; best friend, Scotty Luginbill of New Paris, Ohio; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, OH with Pastor Jack Miller officiating. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held by the family at a later date in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH.
