James D. Priest

James D. Priest, age 72, of New Paris, Ohio died Friday, December 3, 2004 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Born on January 28, 1932 in Portland, Indiana he was the son of the late Harold & Clara (Ireland) Priest. Jim had been a Mechanical Engineer for Belden Wire & Cable in Richmond for 42 years retiring in 1986. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Richmond and attended the Men’s Bible Study Fellowship in Richmond. Preceded in death by several Brothers and a Sister.

Survived by Wife of 55 years: Norma J. (Rathbun) Priest; Daughters & Sons-in-law: Cynthia E. & Ralph West of Richmond, Ind., Diana K. & Steven Gray of Centerville, Ind. and Teresa J. & Thomas Runyon of Fort Mills, S.C. 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 6, 2004 - 2:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Terry Campbell officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends Monday, December 6, 2004 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
