Jack L. Heeter

Jack L. Heeter, age 83 of Lewisburg, Ohio died Friday morning, July 31, 2009 at Heartland of Eaton. Born on April 6, 1926 in Lewisburg, Ohio he was the son of the late Otto Jacob & Anna (Foutz) Heeter. Jack served with the U.S. Navy during W.W. II and had been a Insurance Agent in Lewisburg for over 50 years. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Lewisburg American Legion, Lewisburg Lions Club receiving the Melvin Jones Award and served with the Lewisburg Fire Department for many years. Each year he would go to Sugar Island, Michigan to fish and enjoyed woodworking. Preceded in death by Brother: Richard Heeter in 2002; Brother-In-Law: James M. Sittloh in 1980 and Sister-In-Law: Rose L. Heeter in 2005.

Survivors: Wife of 62 years: Rhea Jean (Sittloh) Heeter; Sons & Daughter-In-Law: Jim & Susan Heeter of Houston, TX and Jody Heeter of Eaton, OH.; Grandchildren: Zachary & Kim Heeter, Justin Heeter, Jessica Heeter, John Heeter and Julie Heeter; 2 Great Grandchildren; Cousin: Dorothy Heeter Coons.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church - 511 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. Brent Cavendish officiating. Family will receive friends on Monday, August 3, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the church and one hour prior to the service at the church. Lewisburg Lions Club Service will be 7:00 P.M. Monday, August 3, 2009 at the church. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, Ohio with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
