J. Lowell Hoff

J. Lowell "Squirrel" Hoff, age 83 of Lewisburg, OH died Friday morning, April 17, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Born on October 11, 1931 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio he was the son of the late John & Nina (Stine) Hoff. Lowell was a 1950 Brookville High School graduate and was a famous basketball guard for the basketball team. He had been an Electrician working for several area commercial contractors. A longtime member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (I.B.E.W.) and the Trail Riders Club of Lewisburg, Ohio. Preceded in death by children: John Osborne Hoff, Mary Llene and Belinda S. Glassner in 2010; sisters: Dorthy Woodrey and Betty Leis.

Survived by Wife of 63 years: Nelma I. (Smith) Hoff; Sons & Daughter-in-law: Bruce A. & Alena Hoff; Jan A. Hoff and David L. Glassner all of Lewisburg, Ohio; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and several Nieces, Nephews and many friends.

Family will receive friends on Monday, April 20th 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Barnes Funeral Home 411 North Commerce Street Lewisburg, Ohio. The funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 21st 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Harbaum officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, Ohio.
