Irene Parks

IRENE PARKS, age 93 of Eaton, Ohio died Monday, December 30, 2002 at her residence. Born in November 6, 1909 in Campbellstown (Preble County), Ohio she was the daughter of the late George O. & Myrtle (Marker) Swihart. She was a 1927 graduate and valedictorian of West Alexandria High School. She was a self employed farmer in Dixon and Washington Townships. Preceded in death by Husband: Andrew H. “Andy” Parks in 1998; Brothers: Lloyd Swihart in 1928, Darrell Swihart in 1939 and William T. Swihart in 1945; Sisters: Ada Lee Turner in 1990 and Zelma S. Overholser in 1996.

Survived by Brother and Sister-in-law: Ralph E. & Dorotha Swihart, West Alexandria, Ohio. Nieces & Nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2003- 2:00 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main St. - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Wayne D. Morrison officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 2, 2003 from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
