I. Agnes Holmes

I. Agnes Holmes, age 90, of Greenville, SC, died Thursday, April, 21, 2016 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC. Born on December 22, 1925 in Plano, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Virgil Homer and Minnie Goldie (George) Rudder. Agnes' great joy came from spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Greenville, SC and was a former member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Camden, The Richmond Road Baptist Church in Hamilton, OH and The Northside Baptist Church in Valdosta, GA.

In addition to her parents, Agnes is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John M. Holmes in 2003.

Survived by Daughter and Son-in-law: Joyce and Jim Armstrong of Greenville, SC; Sons and Daughters-in-law: Dennis and Micki Holmes of Cincinnati, OH and Gary and Vickie Holmes of Columbus, GA; sister: Amanda Shockey and brother and sister-in-law: William A. and Shirley Rudder all of Camden, OH; grandchildren and spouses: Susan (Richard) Rowe; Mark (Carrie) Armstrong; Ann (Brad) Brown; Matthew (Annie) Holmes; Lindsay (Greg) Leavens; Richard (Nicole) Holmes and Rachel (Jackie) Thomas; great grandchildren: Amanda & Emily Rowe; Addison, Barrett & Moriah Armstrong; Truett & Grant Brown; Alex & Will Holmes; Tyler & Anna Leavens and Riley & Parker Thomas; nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden, OH with Rev. Dr. Greg F. Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the graveside.
