Hugh J. Arthur

HUGH J. ARTHUR, 64, of West Manchester, OH died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at his residence. Born on July 29, 1945 in Richmond, Indiana, he was the son of the late Mervin Kenneth and Norma Alice (Jeanes) Arthur. A 1963 graduate of Monroe High School, Monroe Township, Preble County, Ohio, Hugh was retired from Delphi in Dayton, Ohio where he was a plumber for 28 years. For over 30 years he proudly served as a member of the West Manchester Fire Department. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Arthur in 1988.

Hugh is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rebecca "Becky" (DeArmond) Arthur; daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda & Todd Gebhart and Melissa & Dan Rees both of Lewisburg, Ohio; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane & Wayne Renfroe of Lansing, Michigan and Maureen & Maynard Shumaker of West Manchester; grandsons, Ryan & Kyle Gebhart and Tyler & Travis Rees.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with Pastor Bryan Rea officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. Family will receive friends on Friday, April 16, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
