Howard L. Stubbs

HOWARD L. STUBBS, 57 of Camden (Gratis Twp.) OH, died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg, OH. He was born on December 4, 1953 in Middletown, OH. Howard retired in 2003 after 31 years at AK Steel where he was in Electrical Construction and a Journeyman. He was a 1972 graduate of Preble Shawnee High School and attended Sinclair Community College in Dayton. He had served on the Gratis and Camden Fire Department of 20 years and was a driver for the Gratis Rescue Squad and a Class A. Truck Driver. He was a high school basketball referee and was an avid golfer. Member of the Gratis FOE.

Preceded in death by his Father: Gerald L. Stubbs in 1997.

Survived by his Wife of 18 years: Kimberly (Holland) Stubbs; Mother: Donna Lou (Smith) Stubbs, Eaton, OH; Sons: Gerald Joseph (Tracy) Stubbs, Eaton, OH, Jeff Alan (Rebecca) Comley, Eaton, OH, Mitchell Ray (Jessica) Stubbs, Camden, OH; Dustin Steve (Deana) Comley and Jason Neal Comley, both of Gratis, OH; Sisters: Susan (Bill) Powell and Sandi Stubbs, both of Eaton, OH; Brother: Robin (Melissa) Stubbs, Richmond, IN. 9 grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and a host of friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2011 at the First Brethren Church of Gratis, corner of 725 and 122, Gratis, OH with Pastor Bob Shannon and Donald Clarkson officiating. Interment will be held in Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton, OH. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 4 – 8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to service on Friday. Arrangements entrusted to Nein – Barnes Funeral Home, Camden, OH.
