Homer H. Haddix

HOMER H. HADDIX, 82, died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the Atrium Medical Center. Born on March 28, 1927 in Breathitt County, KY, he was the son of the late Thomas W. & Hazel R. (Combs) Haddix. He was a lineman electrician for 42 years and a member of the IBEW #82 in Dayton, OH. A charter member of the Moose Lodge in Trenton and attended the Camden Pentecostal Church. He loved fishing and was an avid gardener who loved growing vegetable gardens. He will be greatly missed by family & friends.

Preceded in death by his Son: Homer Jr.; Sisters: Glaudia Campbell, Delores Shouse; Brothers: Leslie, Ledford, Alonso and Darrell Haddix.

Survived by Wife of 43 years, Lila (Clay) Haddix; Children, Woodrow (Linda) Haddix, Jerry (Dorothy) Haddix, Hobert Haddix, Evelyn (Larry) Smith, Patricia Mednus, Theresa (Jess) Herald, Ruth (Roy) Lucas and Loretta (Jason) Elam; brother, David Haddix; sisters, Loretta Noble, Gladys Fugate and Olga Getsch; Grandchildren, Jennifer, Christine, Melissa, James, Julie, Julie Ann Haddix, Janet, Kimberly & Joseph Smith, Samantha & Matthew Mednus, James, Jessica & Mark Herald, Josh Lucas, Jake & Abby Elam and 10 Great Grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Nein - Barnes Funeral Home, 249 N. Main St., Camden, OH with Rev. Michael Gadd officiating. Interment will be held in Fairmount Cemetery in Camden. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
