HERSCHEL R. SNYDER, age 73, of Richmond, Indiana and formerly of New Paris, Ohio died Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Reid Hospital in Richmond. Born October 26, 1932 in New Paris, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles & Berniece (Loper) Snyder. He was a retired plumber and pipe fitter for the Local 661 in Muncie, Indiana. He was a member and past Worshipful Master of the Fellowship Lodge #106 F & AM in New Paris.

Survived by wife of 53 years: Patricia A. “Pat” (Drew) Snyder; daughter: Jody L. Snyder of Richmond; sisters: Shirley Knox of Richmond and Jane Hall of Tennessee; brother: Tom Snyder of Texas; Nieces and Nephews and Cousins; Special caregiver: Bo Irvin of Richmond and his beloved dog: Max.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris with services rendered by the Fellowship Lodge #106 F & AM of New Paris.

Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home-New Paris Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions please be made to the Richmond Fire Department- 101 S. 5th St.- Richmond, Indiana 47374.
