Herbert Leroy Vardaman, Jr.

Herbert "Leroy" Vardaman, Jr., age 54, of Lewisburg, Ohio died Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Hospice of Dayton after a four month illness. Born on April 13, 1950 in Richmond, Indiana he has lived in the Lewisburg area most all of his life. He had worked at Ohio Plate Glass in Lewisburg for 27 years and had volunteered for many years to help cleanup the Great Miami River. Preceded in death by Step-Father: Wilgus M. Fugate in 1977 and Sister: Ramona M. Fugate in 1977.

Survivors include 2 Sons: Kevin L. Vardaman of Lewisburg, Ohio and Harley D. Vardaman serving with the U.S. Navy in Guam; Father: Herbert Leroy Vardaman, Sr. Of Abelene, Tx. and Mother: Alice B. (McClellan) Fugate of Lewisburg, Ohio; Former Wife: Andrea L. (Hayslett) Vardaman. Brothers: Gary D. Fugate of Nobleton, Fl. And Larry E. Fugate of West Alexandria, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 10, 2004 at Barnes Funeral Home - 411 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. George Pennington officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, Ohio. Family will receive friends 12 to 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 10, 2004 at the funeral home.
