Henry J. Boggs

HENRY J. BOGGS, age 82, of Camden, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford, Ohio. Born on June 18, 1925 in Yeaddiss, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Levi & Bertha (Day) Boggs. He was a Vietnam Veteran and proudly served in the U.S. Army for 22 ½ years. Henry worked on Air Craft, was awarded the Bronze Star, and retired from the U.S. Army in 1971 as a Master Sergeant. He was a minister for 18 years and was at the West Elkton Church of Christ for 15 years. Member of the D.A.V. of Lewisburg, Ohio. Member of the Masonic Lodge in Camden, Ohio.

Preceded in death by his daughter: Pamela H. Boggs; brother: Dillard Boggs and Lee Boggs; sisters: Mallie Baker and Carrie Deaton.

Survived by his wife of 63 years: Bertha (Lewis) Boggs of Camden, Ohio; son & daughter-in-law: Rick W. & Barbara Boggs of Lynn, Indiana; daughter & son-in-law: Victoria E. & Russell Belew of Holbrook, Arizonia; brothers & sister-in-law: Homer & Alice Boggs of Cumberland, Kentucky, and Kermitt Boggs of Lancaster, Kentucky; sister-in-law: Delphia Boggs of Peru, Indiana; grandchildren: Michael W. (Sue) Boggs, Pamela (David) Belew, and Russell Belew; great grandchildren: Cheyanne and Gavin; nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at West Elkton Church of Christ - 12153 State Route 503 South - West Elkton, Ohio 45070 with Minister Eloy Encinias officiating. Interment will be held in Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton, Ohio with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends two hours prior at the church.
