Henry "Hank" W. Byers, Jr.

Henry W. "Hank" Byers, Jr., 75, of Eaton, Ohio and formerly of Greenville, Ohio died Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. Henry was born on November 18, 1937 the oldest son of Henry Sr. & Ina (Miller) Byers in Darke County, Ohio. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. In 1996 he retired from the Perfect Circle in Richmond, IN after 35½ years of service. From 1998 to 2009 Henry and his wife were Host Volunteers at Price Creek Camp Ground at Beaverhead National Forest near Polaris, Montana. Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Greenville and the American Legion Post #140 of Greenville, OH. Preceded in death by a son: Timothy Byers in 2005.
Survived by his wife of 54 years: Eula M. (Meyer) Byers; Children: Rodney & Sue Byers of Farmersville, OH; Debra & Randy Swartwout of Eaton, OH; grandchildren: Jessica & Robert Brock, Christopher & Jessica Byers; Elizabeth & Chad Parks; Ryan & Regina Hynes; Hilary Drumm; Andrea, Chelcie and Brianna Swartwout; Great Grandchildren: Matthew Brock, Mariah & Emily Hynes.
Memorial service will be held 7:00 PM Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Farmersville United Methodist Church – 110 West Center Street Farmersville, Ohio with Rev. Patricia A. Matthews officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Military Honors will be provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
