Helen L. Morris

HELEN L. MORRIS, 87, of Eaton, Ohio and formerly of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Friday, October 7, 2011 at her residence. Born on July 16, 1924 in Castine, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frank Thomas & Grace (Shepherd) Huston. Helen was retired from Freedman's Department Store where she was a sales clerk for several years. She was a member of the Trowel & Spade Garden Club, the Happy Homemakers Club both of Lewisburg and the Preble County Widow's and Widower's Club. Helen loved to playing cards; flower arranging, painting and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband: Lonnie L. Morris in 2001; sisters: Marjorie Robison in 1997, Glenna Simpson-Rankin in 2003 and Maxine Eley in 2006.

Survived by daughters & sons-in-law: Terrie (Morris) & Robert Hundley of Lebanon, Ohio and Lana (Morris) & Jerold N. Smyer of Dallas, Georgia; sister: Dola R. Brown-Muth of Brookville, Ohio; grandchildren: Stephanie (Hundley) & Christopher Theobald, Shannon (Hundley) & Glenn Corrill, Jared L. Smyer and Jonathan M. & Jessica (Heeter) Smyer; great grandchildren: Shelby Smyer; Grant, Jared, Trent & Blake Corrill and Zachary & Nicholas Theobald; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 511 North Commerce St., Lewisburg, Ohio with Rev. Brent L. Cavendish officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
