Helen Jordan

HELEN JORDAN, 85, of Eaton, OH, died Saturday, July 18, 2009 in Eaton. Born on August 15, 1923 in Luverne, MN, she was the daughter of the late Joseph B. & Florence K. (Mannigel) Ferriell. She was a homemaker, former bookkeeper & secretary for the Farm Service. A 1941 Jackson Twp. High School graduate and member of St. John's Catholic Church and St. Ann's Sodality in New Paris. She was a former 4-H advisor, Club 18 member and was an organizing sponsor of girls softball in New Paris. Preceded in death by Daughter: Sue Sims; Brothers: Merlin and Jennings Ferriell; Sons-in-law: Bob "C" Crelin and Sidney Sims.

Survived by Husband of 62 years: James J. "Jimmie" Jordan; Daughters: Janet (Rebecca Kisling) Crelin, Eaton, OH, Nancy (Bob) Keller, New Paris, OH; Sister: Jean (Bill) Stamback, Eaton, OH; Brothers: David and Alton B. Ferriell, both of Eaton, OH; Sisters-in-law: Doris Ferriell, Eaton, OH, Josephine Jordan, Richmond, IN; Grandchildren: Tracey (Mike) Ross, New Paris, OH, Mark (Michelle Tangeman) Sims, Springboro, OH, Bobby (Amber) Keller, Eaton, OH, Jessica (Jeremy) Peck, Middletown, OH. Great Grandchildren: Derek & Morgan Ross, Harper & Gannon Sims, Hannah & Jakob Keller and Jordan Peck. Several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 - 11:00 a.m. at the Eaton Church of the Visitation, 407 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Father J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Monday, July 20, 2009 from 4 - 7 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton with Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m.
