Helen "Elaine" Porter

Helen Elaine "Elaine" (Boyer) Porter, 80, of Lewisburg, OH and formerly of Dayton, died peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Genesis Health Care, New Lebanon Center after struggling years with dementia. Elaine was born on June 12, 1936 in Dayton, OH, daughter of the late Carl & Frances (Albright) Boyer.

Elaine was a homemaker living in Englewood and joined with her husband, Donald, in the ownership and operation of The Razors Edge Barbershop, in 1966. She enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking and doting over her dog.

Elaine is survived by Sons: Donald (Rose) Porter and Jeffery (Lisa) Porter; Son-in-law: King DePhillips, Jr.; 10 Grandchildren: Jennifer, Sierra, Nikki, Amber, Robert, Justin, Heath, Nick, Megan and Zach; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a number of other relatives and her close friends Charlene and Dottie.

She is preceded in death by her Husband: Donald R. Porter in 2010; Daughter: Debbie DePhillips in 2016; Grandson: King "Trey" DePhillips; Brother: Robert Allen Boyer in 1989.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of The New Lebanon Center and Crossroads Hospice for providing comfort and support in her final days.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce Street, Lewisburg, OH with Rev. James Sizelove officiating. Inurnment will be held in Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville, OH. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 – 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
