Helen B. Miller

Helen B. (Matix) Miller, age 97, of Eaton, Ohio, died Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton, Ohio. Born on July 16, 1910 in Morning Sun, Preble County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William Emerson & Edith Mae (Line) Matix. She had worked for Producers in the Restaurant Area in Eaton, Ohio for several years. Helen was a local housekeeper and a child day-care worker. She was also a care-giver at the Preble County Home in Eaton, Ohio. Helen was a member of the Eaton Church of the Brethren in Eaton, Ohio.

Preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Lester Paul Miller in 1976; daughter, Martha J. Knabe in 1997; brothers, Glenn Matix, Russell Matix, Clyde Matix, and Omer Matix; sister, Irma Crist in 1998; grandchild, Thomas Brian Hancock in 1980.

Survived by daughter, Janet E. Hancock of Richmond, Indiana; grandsons, John A. Knabe and Joshua A. Knabe both of Eaton, Ohio; great grandchildren, Ash Knabe, Drava Knabe, and Codie Knabe all of Eaton, Ohio; special family & friends: Lowell Knabe of Eaton, Ohio and Mic & Penny McGuire of Eaton, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 4, 2008 at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Marion Noll officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 4, 2008 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton, Ohio.
