Hazel Ponder

HAZEL PONDER, age 81, of New Paris, Ohio died Thursday, January 6, 2005 at Rosegate Village in Richmond, Indiana. Born on September 13, 1923 in Pine Hill, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Harrison & Lula (Pierceful) Cope. She had worked at Richmond Glove Factory, Crosley and Richmond Record Company. Preceded in death by Husband: Everett Ponder in 2003; Sisters: Pearl King, Aline Potts & Ethel Samdal; Brother: John Calvin Cope and 5 infants.

Survived by Daughters & Son-in-law: E. Doris & H. Jerry Bottoms, Priscella D. Lamb, Sister: Beulah Wentz, all of New Paris, Ohio; 7 Grandchildren: Jay Bottoms, Rodney E. Bottoms, Neal A. (Kara) Bottoms, Jimmy D. (Kolinda) Ponder, Lisa A. (Brian) Owens, Jerry E. Lamb, Terry D. Lamb. 11 Great Grandchildren: Aaron M. Bottoms, Eric MR Bottoms, James G. Ponder, Savannah R. Ponder, Ashley M. Holman, Cortney L. Holman, Bret N. Lamb, Cassidy P. Lamb, Sarah Johnson, Justin Johnson and Alicia Johnson.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. - Monday, January 10, 2005 at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Monday one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
