HARRY HUDSON, JR., age 90, of Eaton, OH, died Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. Born on June 6, 1921 in Everton, IN, he was the son of the late Harry E. & Edna L. (Younts) Hudson. Harry was a retired livestock auctioneer having worked in Eaton, Greenville, Springfield, OH and Centerville and Indianapolis, IN and was a Dixon Twp. farmer. A 1939 graduate of Alquina, Indiana High School, A veteran of the U.S. Army during WW II as Master Sgt in the Chemical Mortar Battalion 1942 to 1945, having served in Africa and Italy, member of the Amvets, Connersville, IN, American Legion Post #215 in Eaton, Life Member of V.F.W. Post #1472 in Liberty, IN and Life Member of Moose Lodge #1160 Connersville, IN.
Preceded in death by his wife of 58 years: B. Frances (Garwood) Hudson in 2005; half brothers: Malcolm and Norbert Howell and step brothers: Stanley L. Hudson and Wilford Dale Hudson; half sister: Joan Miller.
Survived by Sons & Daughter-in-law: Mike I. & Connie Hudson, Brian Patrick Hudson, both of Eaton; half brother: Donald Howell, Indianapolis, IN.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2011 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Rev. Charles Rinehart officiating. Interment will be held in Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria, OH with military honors by the Liberty and Preble County Honor Guards. Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
