Harold Gene Stout

Harold “Gene” Stout, 91, of Camden, OH, died Wednesday July 17, 2024, at his residence. Born on August 7, 1932, in Middletown, Ohio, he was the son of the late Carl C. & Nanie M. (Martin) Stout. Harold attended Monroe High School until his father became unable to work so he quit school to work to support his family and mother. He had worked at Inland Container of Middletown Ohio for 30 years retiring in 1995. Member of the Sugar Valley United Methodist Church and the United Steel Workers Union. Preceded in death by wife of 59 years: Rose “Marie” (Henderson) Stout in 2014, brothers: James P. Davis, Chester A. Davis, Elmer H Stout, Don Stout and Carl E. Stout; sisters: Kathryn Lehman, Ester L. Bentz and Pauline Denney.

 Survivors include Daughter & Son-in-law: Peggy & Craig Doty, Camden, OH; Grandchildren: Dionne & Douglas Deck, Franklin, OH; Craig II & Jessica Doty, Camden, OH; Great Grandchildren: Stephen & Ashley, Austin & Giao, Sydney, Craig III and Jacob; Great Great Grandchildren: Audrey, Hunter, Carter, Scarlett, Raelynn and Logan; Sister: Marilyn Byrd of Middletown, OH. Nieces and Nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Thursday July 25, 2024, at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street Eaton, Ohio. A Celebration of Life Service will be 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden, OH.
