Harold R. Bresher

Harold R. Bresher, 92, of Eaton, Ohio died on Friday, February 3, 2017 at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana. Harold was born on December 9, 1924 in New Hope, Preble County, Ohio, son of the late Robert Stanley & Opal Marie (Hickman) Bresher.

Harold was a 1942 graduate of Jackson Township High School and was a WWII veteran in the U.S. Army. He retired in 1977 from AVCO in Richmond, Indiana where he was a salvage foreman for 29 years. He was a shipping clerk from 1977 to 1982 for Disney Vista and for 5 years at Tru Cast both in Richmond. Past member of the Audie Murphy Society and lifelong member of the New Hope United Methodist Church, New Hope, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his son, Mark A. Bresher in 1966; grandson: Christopher Bresher in 2016.

Harold survived by sons, David E. Bresher, Thomas A. Bresher and Tracy E. Bresher; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy M. Carden-Cecys and Martin Cecys; sister, Norma Jean Crowe; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Mike Nottingham officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton. Full military honors will be provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
