Harlan Harvey Yost

HARLAN HARVEY YOST, 88, of Sterling, Virginia died Monday, January 31, 2011 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Sterling. Harlan was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on September 15, 1922, son of the late Harry A. and Evelyn Claire (Biles) Yost. Harlan was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII in Guam and in the U.S. Air Force in Alamogordo, New Mexico and Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. He lived in California and worked in the Aerospace Industry from 1950 to 1990.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Jean C. (Dresser) Yost and is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Ed and Coleen Yost of Leesburg, Virginia; daughters: Sherry Johnson of Dayton, Ohio, Sandy Moorhead of Georgiana, Alabama and Renee Hogue of Eldersburg, Maryland; 10 grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

A memorial graveside service with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2011 at the Fairmount Cemetery in Camden.
