Gregory Asa M. Smith

Gregory Asa M. Smith, age 80, of New Paris, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2023. Born on March 10, 1943, son of the late Wendell Sterling & Dorothy Elizabeth (Moore) Smith.

Greg graduated from Ohio Northern University in 1965. He was a retired high school math teacher. He had worked for Mount Sterling Schools in Ohio as a math teacher and assistant principal before marrying Judy. Then they moved to the Dayton area where he worked at Tri-County North Schools and Trotwood-Madison Schools before retirement.

Survived by wife of 54 years, Judith E. “Judy” Smith; children, Lara A. (Robert P. Hummel) Smith and Dr. Alyssa J. (Bryan) Feagin; numerous furbabies; siblings, Michael W. (Susan) Smith, Alma E. Davis, Helen M. Smith, Eric B. Smith, Frances D. Smith and Loree D. Overman; close family friend, Donna Smith; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 815 W Main St., Richmond, IN 47374 with Rev. Sengole Gnanaraj officiating.
