Glenn W. Wolf

GLENN W. “SHORTY” WOLF, age 80 of Fairhaven, Ohio died Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at his residence. Born on June 1, 1926 in Peoria, Ohio he was the son of the late William O. & Julia Katherine (Vail) Wolf, Sr. He had worked with C & O and B & O Railroad, worked on Farms, and in a Grain Elevator in the area. He retired in 1982 after working for 15 years as a custodian for Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Glenn proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Member of the American Legion and V.F.W. in Eaton, Ohio. Glenn was also an avid hunter. Preceded in death by his daughter: Deanna Carol Wolf; son: Andy Leroy Wolf; brothers: William S. Wolf, Jr, Clarence Wolf, and Orville Wolf; sister: Elsie Hisle.

Survived by his wife of 59 years: June Marie (Austin) Wolf of Fairhaven, Ohio; daughter & son-in-law: Marlene M. & Jimmy Hunt of Liberty, Indiana; three grandchildren: Joshua & Sarah Bratton of Fort Bliss, Texas, Jason Todd Bratton, and Angela Marie Bratton both of Liberty, Indiana; one great grandchild: Dakota Joshua Bratton of Fort Bliss, Texas; various nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Nein-Barnes Funeral Home - 249 N. Main St. - Camden, Ohio with Rev. George Copus officiating. Interment will be held in Fairhaven Cemetery in Fairhaven, Ohio with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Friday, December 1, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
