Glenn "JR" Fourman

Glenn “JR” Fourman, age 97, of Lewisburg, Ohio passed away in his home on June 26, 2024. Preceded in death by his parents Glen “Shorty” and Treva (Bunger) Fourman, and stepmother Emma (Kenworthy) Fourman. JR served his country as a member of the Army Air Corp from 1945-1947. 

JR was a devoted and loving spouse to three wives who preceded him; Elnora (Shivadecker) Fourman (2004), Patrica (Staton) Fourman (2008) and Luria Thompson (2022). 

JR was loved and survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Connie Sue and John David Rodrian of Bluffton, South Carolina, and Jane and Gary O’Neal of Senecaville, Ohio. Also survived by his four grandchildren, Sarah Rodrian-McCulley and Ali Rodrian; Kelly Potts and Chris O’Neal; and his four great-grandchildren, JD Rodrian, Derritt Potts, Dalton Potts and Haley Potts.

JR had a 16-year career as a truck driver, employed by Zumstein Trucking, 1948-1964; and a 23-year career as a retired Manager at the Village of Lewisburg Wastewater Treatment Facility from 1964 – 1987. 

JR served the community area of Lewisburg faithfully, where he was raised and lived his entire life, and as a volunteer fireman at the Village of Lewisburg Fire Department for many years. 

A public graveside service will be held to honor and remember JR at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024 in Ithaca Cemetery, 711 State Route 503, Ithaca, Ohio.
