Glenn F. Pugh, 69 and Elaine Kathryn (Boyer) Pugh, 64 of Camden, OH both passed away June 28, 2013 as a result of a very tragic traffic accident in Middletown, Ohio. They had just celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on June 25, 2013.
Glenn was born on March 23, 1944 in Hamilton, Ohio the son of the late Stanley S. & Ethel (Preble) Pugh. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Glenn retired in 2005 from General Motors in Dayton. He was a member of the Germantown United Methodist Church – Germantown, Ohio; National Pilot Association; USS Hornet Club and the Flying Farmers Association. He is preceded in death by a brother, Stanley G. Pugh, Jr. in 2005.
Glenn is survived by his son: Shannon (Angie) Pugh of Camden, OH; stepson: Deron (Carla) Pugh of Eaton, OH; 3 grandsons: Dalton, Colton and Ashton Pugh of Eaton; brother: Ronald L. (Patricia) Pugh of Eaton, OH; sister-in-law, Norene Pugh of Lillian, Alabama; two nephews, four nieces, 6 great nephews and 5 great nieces.
Elaine was born April 13, 1949 in Greenville, daughter of the late Myron Luedward & Louanna Kathryn (Bish) Boyer. She was a graduate of Greenville High School and attended Miami-Jacobs College after graduation. Elaine worked at the Credit Bureau in Dayton for several years and Bank One/GE Financial in bankruptcies & credit collection for over 30 years when she retired in 2011. She was a shareholder, member of the board of directors, and 2nd Vice-President at Bish & Boyer, Inc. She was a member of the Germantown United Methodist Church in Germantown actively involved with the United Methodist Women (UMW). She loved to read and especially loved their 3 bassette hounds: Berrigunn, Kalleigh, and Grumann; 1 miniature schnauzer, Harley; and 1 cat, Cheetah, who will miss their owners very much.
Elaine is survived by her sister and brother-in-law: Diane (Boyer) and Fred Rhoades of Troy, OH; brother: Bruce Boyer of Greenville, OH; nephew: Eric Rhoades of Troy, OH; first cousins: Arlene Boyer of Bradford, OH; Barbara (Boyer) Rhoades, of Greenville, OH; Thomas Bish of Greenville, OH; Jerry Bish of Scottsdale, AZ; cousin: Marilyn (Smith) Geise of Milford, OH.
Funeral service for Glenn & Elaine will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 5, 2013 at Germantown United Methodist Church 525 Farmersville Pike, Germantown, Ohio with the Rev. Gary Wheeler officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery Gratis, OH with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 4, 2013 from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Nein-Barnes Funeral Home 249 North Main Street Camden, Ohio and one hour prior to the service at the church.
