Geraldine Geneva Fudge

Geraldine Geneva Fudge 97 of New Paris, Ohio died Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, IN. She was born on October 7, 1923 near Boston, Wayne County, Indiana the daughter of the late Lester & Treva (Gabel) Pope. Geraldine was a 1941 Eaton High School graduate. She married her sweetheart George Fudge, Jr. In February 1947. She was a homemaker and attended the Eldorado United Methodist Church. Living on the family farm she helped care for the farm animals and baby pigs as they were born. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and playing cards with ladies in the community. In years past she enjoyed spending some winter months in the Florida Keys and going to the beach. Geraldine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Heaven has gained a very sweet, caring, kind and loving Christian lady.

Survivors: son: George “Joe” Fudge of New Paris, OH; grandson: George Michael Fudge of Eldorado, OH; great grandchildren: George Noah Fudge, Autumn G. Fudge, Lyla Fudge and Lucas Fudge. Brother: Leonard Pope of Richmond, Indiana and sister: Norma Mosier of Wetumpka, Alabama, several nieces, nephews and many friends.         

Family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Barnes Funeral Home 109 West Main Street New Paris. The funeral service will be 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Rodney Dunn officiating. Interment will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. The State of Ohio COVID-19 guidelines require that a facemask is worn prior to entering the funeral home.
