Georgia Ilene Crawford

Georgia Ilene (Jackson) Crawford, age 78 died Monday, April 17, 2006 in Richmond, IN. Born on January 18, 1928 in Greene County, TN. She was the daughter of the late Buford & Phronia (Hensley) Jackson. She lived in the Richmond and New Paris area since 1948. She had retired from the Belden Corporation in 1990 after 33 years of service. Georgia accepted Jesus Christ as her personal saviour in 1960 and was a member of First Southern, Freedom Missionary and Victory Baptist Churches over those years of service to God. She enjoyed quilting, fishing with grandchildren and conversation with family and friends. Preceded in death by an infant sister; brother: James T. Jackson, and her husband of 57 years: Doyle “Cliff” Crawford.

Survivors include son & daughter-in-law: Lester & Sylvia (Sandlin) Crawford of Richmond, IN; son: Jerry Crawford and Summer Lingg of Richmond, IN; brother: Roy Jackson of Millville, OH; sister: Mildred Bailey of New Paris, OH. brother & sister-in-law: Billy & Margie (Archer) Jackson of Richmond, IN; grandchildren and friends: Nathan Crawford, Nastsha Miller, (and great grandchild Lilly) Brandee Marshall, Zackary Crawford, Melissa Messer, Danielle Crawford, Emily Breeden, Alexa Lingg and Bryce Lingg. Many nieces, nephews, friends, brothers and sisters in Christ.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio with nephew Rodger “Peter” Smith of Tennessee and Pastor Lloyd Mofield of Victory Baptist Church, Centerville, Indiana officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery, New Paris, Ohio. Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, April 20, 2006 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
