George W. Steele

GEORGE W. STEELE, 58, of Lewisburg, OH, died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at his residence. George was born on October 3, 1955 in Harlan, Kentucky and was a 1974 graduate of Twin Valley North High School in Lewisburg. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam and was a member of the DAV, American Legion and the VFW all of Lewisburg.

George is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ruth (Hicks) Steele in 2004 and brother, Willie Steele in 2013.

George is survived by his son, Allen "Skipper" Steele of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Elizabeth (Michael) Rioux of Brighton, Minnesota; father, Arvil Ray Steele of Harlan , KY; brother, Charlie (Sherry) Steele of Lewisville, IN; sisters, Robin Howard of Evarts, KY and Vicki Steele of Las Vegas, NV; nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 P.M., on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH 45320. Memorial Service and Inurnment will be held in the Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
