Gene E. Smith

Gene E. Smith, age 77 of Eaton, Ohio died Friday, April 12, 2024 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Gene was born on September 5, 1946, in Delaware, Ohio, the son of the late Guy E. & Virginia R. (Wheeler) Smith. He was a 1964 Jackson High School graduate, Business & Accounting associate degree from Miami-Jacobs College and attended the New Hope Church. During his work he had been to over nine states as a representative for the companies where he was employed.

Survivors include sister: Rebecca Smith of Eaton, Ohio, and several cousins. He was a kind soul and wonderful brother.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Barnes Funeral Home 220 East Main Street Eaton, OH. The funeral service will be 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Rodney Dunn officiating. Interment will be in Mound Hill Cemetery - Eaton, OH.
