Gary C. Roosa

GARY C. ROOSA, 56, of New Paris, Ohio died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at his residence. Born on March 18, 1953 in Union City, Indiana he was the son of the late Carl Henry & L. Louise (Brooks) Roosa. Gary was 1971 graduate of Northeastern High School in Fountain City, Indiana and was self employed with Piqua Flea markets. Gary had also worked at Swifty, Elder Caskets in Richmond, Indiana and Astral Industries in Lynn, Indiana. He loved to wood work and volunteer his time with Circle U, where he and his family would help serve Thanksgiving dinner.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sharon C. (Bickel)Roosa; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Kara Roosa of Williamsburg, Indiana; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Tim Taulbee of New Paris; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Glen King of Lynn, Indiana and Rebecca and James Phillips of Greenfield, Indiana; granddaughters, Jasmine Roosa and Isabella Taulbee; nieces and nephews, David King of Centerville, Indiana, Jeff King of Florence, Kentucky, Vikki Jordan of Milton, Indiana and Lynn Creek of Willow River, Minnesota; brothers-in-law, William Dodge Bickel, Philman Hodge Bickel and Gary Lee Bickel all of Richmond; numerous cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio 45347. Inurnment will be held in Webster Cemetery in Webster, Indiana at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
