Frederick J. Mason

FREDERICK J. MASON, 77, of Eaton, Ohio, died Monday, December 15, 2008 at his residence. He was born on November 27, 1931 in Eaton, Ohio, son of the late Addison Ray & Ruth May(Davis)Mason. He was a 1949 graduate of Eaton High School and was retired from the Delco Division of General Motors in Moraine where he worked for 44 years. He was an Air Force veteran during the Korean war and life member of the American Legion, St. Clair Post 215 in Eaton. Member of the Ohio Highway Auxiliary Patrol, the Preble County Art Association, and the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Oxford, Ohio. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Jane Ann Petty in 1998.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lila L.(Loser) Mason; sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew and Deborah Mason of Eaton and Richard Todd and Fonda Mason of Celina, Ohio; sisters and brother-in-law, Judy Riley and Madonna and Jerry VanBrederode all of Eaton; grandchildren, Amber Mason, Chad and Shawn Mason.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 25 East Walnut St., Oxford, Ohio, with Rev. Karen Bernard officiating. Inurnment will be held immediately following the service in the church cemetery with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
