Freda E. Marburger

FREDA E. MARBURGER, 89 of Lewisburg, OH, died Monday, January 19, 2009 in Brookville, OH. Born on April 29, 1919 in Dayton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Martin & Eda Z. (Steinbock) Houck. She was a member of Idel #293 Order of Eastern Star in Lewisburg since 1963. She has lived in Preble County since 1949. Preceded in death by husband, William R. Marburger in 2006; daughter, Dora Marburger and an infant son; great grandchildren, Daniel Vance, Angel Marburger and Conner Marburger; Brothers, Ray, Wilbur, Fred and Walt Houck.

Survived by daughters & sons-in-law, Gloria Dyke of Centerville, OH, Shirley & Gene Burkett and Darlene Overholt both of Lewisburg and JoAnn & Don Gray of Sidney, OH; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul & Carolyn Marburger of Brookville, OH, William & Linda Marburger of Greenville, OH and Ed Marburger of Lewisburg; sister, Laura Bartlow of Dayton, OH; twenty-three grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchildren; nephews, nieces and cousins; special friends and caregivers, Diane Clark, Patricia Garner, Shirley Ogles and Sis Horn.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, OH with Pastor Dan Hill officiating. Interment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery in West Alexandria, OH. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home with Eastern Star Services immediately following the visitation.
