Frank S. Mato

Frank S. Mato, 83, of Middletown, OH died Friday, August 24, 2012 at Franklin Ridge Nursing Home in Franklin, Ohio. Frank was born on April 25, 1929 in Middletown, OH; son of the late John and Anna Rose (Apati) Mato. Frank retired in 2000 from Armco Steel in Middletown where he was a Masonry worker for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the V.F.W. and D.A.V. both of Middletown.

In addition to his parents Frank is preceded in death by his wife , Alice P. Mato; brothers, John and Andy Demeter and Joseph Mato; sisters, Anna Snowden, Irene Ellis and Helen Garner.

Frank is survived by his sons & daughter-in-law, Joseph & Judy Mato of Eaton, OH and Scott Mato of Washington; daughter, Salley Mato of Middletown and step daughter, Karen Morningstar of Dayton, OH; brother & sister-in-law, James A. & Shirley Mato of Franklin and sister, Rosemary Nelson of Los Angeles, CA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Nein-Barnes Funeral Home, 249 North Main Street, Camden, OH with Rev. J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be held in Fairhaven Cemetery, Israel Township, Fairhaven, OH with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
