Francis E. Mcfall

Francis E. McFall, 87, of Eaton, OH, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Reid Health in Richmond, IN. He was born on March 28, 1929 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Ralph R. and Grace L. (McChristie) McFall. Francis was a life-long resident of Eaton and was a 1947 graduate of Eaton High School and a 1951 graduate of Miami University in Oxford, OH where he received a Bachelor Degree in Journalism. From 1951 to 1953, he served in the U.S. Marine Corp. He worked for Shillitos in Cincinnati for one year and then returned to Eaton in 1956 to join his Father with the operation of McFall's Furniture Store in Eaton where he became the sole owner in 1962. He was a member and past President of the Eaton Lion's Club; past member of the Jaycee's, past board member of Eaton City Schools; Preble County Arts Council, the American Red Cross and the Eaton Zoning Board. He was a member and past Elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Eaton.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years: Ruree Lee (Walters) McFall in 2011 and his brother, Christie McFall in 1995.

Francis is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: April Grace & David Christenson of Louisville, CO; sons and daughter-in-law: Bruce Daniel & Susan McFall of Columbus, OH and Bryan Lee McFall of Eaton; sisters-in-law: Nancy Sprowls of Medina, OH and Olga McFall of Hackettstown, N.J.; nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with a prayer service immediately following with Rev. James Sizelove officiating. Interment and graveside with military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard to be held in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton. A reception will be held at McFall's Furniture Store, 215 East Main St., Eaton following the graveside.
