Evelyn P. Becker

Evelyn P. Becker, 90, of Lewisburg, OH, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Brookhaven in Brookville, OH. Born on February 4, 1923 in Clinton Co., OH, she was the daughter of the late Alexander J. & Pearl Irene (Howe) Foster. Evelyn retired in 1983 from the Ohio Department of Transportation – District #8, Eaton and Lebanon. She was a 1941 graduate of Farmersville High School, Life Member of Delta Theta Tau in Lewisburg, Preble County Democratic Club, Garden Club in Lewisburg, former member of the EUB Church in Lewisburg, taught swimming at the YWCA in Richmond, IN and was a tutor in reading and math at Tri-County North.

Preceded in death by Husband: George R. Becker in 1996; Sisters: Mary Virginia Eberwine and Dorothy Sanderson; Brothers: Harry T., Joseph, Charles and Alexander Jackson, Jr. Foster, 2 infant siblings.

Survived by Son & Daughter-in-law: Louis G. (Pamela) Becker, Lewisburg, OH; Daughter & Son-in-law: Lyn (Kevin) Remmler, Greensboro, NC. Grandchildren: Daniel (Kelly) Snelling, Kevin (Amy) Becker and Paula (Christopher) McKinney. Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. Family will receive friends on Friday, one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
