EVELYN M. MARSHALL, age 69, of West Alexandria, Ohio died Thursday, January 30, 2003 at VITAS Hospice Unit at Fort Hamilton Hughes Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio. Born on February 1, 1933 in West Alexandria, Ohio, she was the first child of the late Milferd B. & Ethel (Denlinger) Eikenberry. She was baptized at the age of seventeen and had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a 1951 Lanier High School graduate and a 1955 graduate of the University of Cincinnati School of Nursing. She worked at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana from 1955 to 1960 and then devoted her time to the family dairy and grain farm. Member of the Gratis Church of the Brethren, Gratis, OH.
Preceded in death by her Husband: Paul H. Marshall in 2000; Sister: Doris Eikenberry in 1964.
Surviving to carry on the work of the Lord are her Daughter and Son-in-Law: Sharon M. & Jeff H. Howard of Eaton, Ohio; Sons & Daughter-in-Law: David L. Marshall & Mark D. Marshall both of West Alexandria, Ohio; Thomas M. & Jane M. Marshall of Eaton, Ohio; Steven P. Marshall of Houston, TX. and James L. Marshall of Gratis, Ohio; Sister: Charlene Kingsley of Miller, Missouri; 9 Grandchildren: Jeffrey W., Andrew J., Daniel P. & James C. Howard; Caitlin M., Mariah S., McKenna L., Mathias A. & J.P. Marshall; Niece, Nephews, Cousins and many friends.
Services will be held Sunday, February 2, 2003 - 10:30 A.M. at the Gratis Church of the Brethren - S.R. 503 & Mack Street - Gratis, Ohio with Pastor Shawn Wilges and Pastor Dean Garrett officiating. Interment will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2003 -10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio.
