Evelyn F. Sauerland

Evelyn F. Sauerland, 85, of New Paris, OH, died Saturday, April 20, 2013 at her residence. Born on November 2, 1927 in Franklin Co., IN, she was the daughter of the late George Vernon & Opha (Miles) Dorrel. Evelyn retired in 2005 after 45 years at Hills Roses in Richmond, IN. She was a Springfield Twp., Franklin County, Indiana High School graduate and a member of the Eagles Lodge in Greenville, OH.

Preceded in death by Brother: Herbert Dorrel; Sisters: June Wehr, Margaret Roberts, Betty Naylor-Hall and Carol Singer; Grandson: Greg Eugene Toschlog.

Survived by Husband of 63 years, Richard A. Sauerland; Daughters & Sons-in-law: Pam (Gene) Toschlog, Richmond, IN and Robin (Jeff) Huffman-Kloppenburg, New Paris, OH; Son & Daughter-in-law: Rick (Peggy) Sauerland, New Paris, OH; Brother: Raymond Dorrel, Brookville, IN; Sister-in-law: Lucy Dorrel, Brookville, IN; Brother-in-law: Ambrose Singer, Brookville, IN; 8 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren. Nieces, Nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., New Paris, OH with Pastor Laura Thie officiating. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris.
