Eugene M. "Gene" Mcginnis

Eugene “Gene” M. McGinnis 82 of Eaton, Ohio died Tuesday, February 6, 2018. Gene was born on September 18, 1935 in Preble County, Ohio the son of the late Edward H. & Laura L. (Morton) McGinnis. He retired in 1998 after 33 years of service with Parker-Hannifin Corporation in Eaton, OH and attended the First Baptist Church in Eaton, OH.

Preceded in death by Brothers: Robert Westbrooke, Jr.; Ronald Rex McGinnis and George McGinnis; Sisters: Edna Lewis, Reatha McGinnis and Vernice Turner. 

Survivors include his Wife of 56 years: Marie (Hampton) McGinnis; Brother: Charles McGinnis of Jefferson Twp., Montgomery Co., OH; Sisters: Cora McGinnis of New Hampshire, Ruth Revere and Norma Joyce Smitherman both of Miamisburg, OH. Many Nieces and Nephews. Special Niece & Friend: Marylin Walker & Husband, Anthony. 

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 12, 2018 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Pastor Andrew Stensaas officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Monday, one hour prior the service at the funeral home.
