Ethel L. Merriman

Ethel Lena Merriman, 96, of West Elkton, Ohio, died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Heartland of Eaton. Born on December 24, 1919 in Casey County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Erastus E. and Mary E. (Carey) Bunch. Ethel was retired from Dayton Flexible in Eaton where she was an inspector for many years.

In addition to her parents, Ethel is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Mitchell Merriman in 1997; daughter, Carol Faye Merriman; son, Ronald Merriman; brother, Hubert Bunch; sister, Hazel Bunch and daughters-in-law, Linda and Donna Merriman.

Ethel is survived by her children, Gerald Merriman of Kentucky, Wayne Merriman of Illinois, Larry (Jean) Merriman of South Carolina, Jerry (Sharon) Merriman of Tennessee, Sharon Taulbee of West Alexandria, Ohio, Karen (Wallace) Brewer of Somerville, Ohio Phyllis (David) Huff of Camden, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Patsy Merriman and over 120 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 3, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Dr. Rev. Greg F. Jackson officiating. Interment will be held in Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
