Esther C. Bixler

Esther C. Bixler, 91, of Brookville, OH, died Thursday, November 15, 2012 in Brookville. Born on December 22, 1920 in Montgomery County, OH, she was the daughter of the late Edward George & Agnes Beatrice (Lum) Miller. Esther retired in 1986 after 25 years with Brookville Schools as the cafeteria supervisor. A 1938 Lewisburg Union High School graduate, 77 year member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lewisburg where she served on the Church Council, Sunday school superintendent and teacher, Lutheran Church Women's group, Preble County Farm Bureau and Twin Valley Grange.

Preceded in death by Husband: Francis M. Bixler in 1998; Son: Roger Paul Bixler in 1947; Brothers: Walter Marion Miller in 1905, Paul H. Miller in 1968; Sister: Helen Miller in 1911.

Survived by Daughter & Son-in-law: Mary Jane (Erik S.) Munson, Englewood, OH; Son & Daughter-in-law: Ronald M. (Tina) Bixler of Florida; Grandchildren: Angela Bixler, Michael Bixler, Christy (Mark) Blauvelt and Eric (Terra) Gouge; 7 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 19, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH with Pastor Phil Marxson and Rev. Brent Cavendish officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 18, 2012 from 3 – 5 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH, and one hour prior to service at the church
