Ellen Jane Baker

Ellen Jane Baker, 71 of Eldorado, Ohio, died Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Born on December 9, 1951 in New Paris, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harry E. & Eleanor A. (Bragg) Irelan.

Ellen retired in 2022 after 51 years in customer service at Chubb Insurance in Richmond. A 1970 National Trail graduate, member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in New Paris, she had served as assistant Cub Scout Master Pack #280 in West Manchester and committee for Troop #280 Boy Scouts of America.

Preceded in death by her Sisters: Laura Keckler in 2018 and Paula Sweet in 2022.

Survived by her Husband of 49 years: Edwin L. “Ed” Baker; Son: Brian C. (Brittany) Baker; Sisters: Becky Paul, Nancy Sexton, and Angie (Aaron) Morman; Granddaugher: Marin Baker; Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Beechwood Golf Course, 1476 OH-503, Arcanum, Ohio from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Her wish was for there to be a party in her honor, to recall the wonderful memories and share stories.
