Elaine B. "Boots" Weadick

Elaine B. "Boots" Weadick, age 89 of Eaton, Ohio died on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Heartland of Eaton. Elaine was born on October 24, 1924 in Tipton County, Indiana the daughter of the late Dewey & Leonna (Coleman) McCracken. Preceded in death by husband of 60 years: James C. Weadick in 2007.

Elaine was a W.W. II U.S. Navy veteran, serving as a Pharmacist's Mate 3rd Class. She and her husband had been Preble County Farmers for many years and was a member of Church of the Visitation; St. Anne's Sodality and the Preble County Farm Bureau.

Survived by her sons & daughters-in-law: Larry & Suzette Weadick and Michael F. & Pam Weadick of Eaton, OH; Grandchildren: Angela Weadick; Michael Weadick, II; Steven Weadick; William Weadick; Jeanette Weadick; Margaret Weadick; Abigail Weadick and Shannon Weadick. 12 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be held 10:00 AM Monday, January 20, 2014 at Visitation Catholic Church - 401 East Main Street – Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton, Ohio with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. with Rosary Service 5:00 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home – 220 East Main Street – Eaton, Ohio.
