Edward Roberts

EDWARD "Ed" ROBERTS, age 89, of Eaton, Ohio died Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Born on April 16, 1924 near Bone Cave in Van Buren County, Tennessee, son of the late Abijah E. & Nancy Ann (Hillis) Roberts. Ed worked for 45 years with GM - Harrison Radiator in Dayton, Ohio. He was a 50+ year active member of The Church of Christ in Eaton and member of Eaton Senior Citizens.

Preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Helen M. (Shiverdecker) Roberts on December 9, 2006; brothers, A. C. Roberts, Albert T. Roberts, Elmo B. Roberts, George Roberts and James Marshal Roberts; sisters, Martha Ann Bouldin, Evie Cunningham, Versa Powers and Larcena Roark.

Survived by his children, Pamela A. (Philip) Brissey of West Alexandria, Ohio, Anna M. (Randy) Clark of Kettering, Ohio, Edward E. Roberts & friend Sue Floyd of Eaton, Ohio and John P. (Andi) Roberts of West Manchester, Ohio; grandchildren, Kristen Lee, Paul Brissey, Dan Roberts, Justin Clark, Jessica BonDurant, Sam Roberts and Sean Roberts; step grandchildren, Shelby and Savannah Reece; great grandchildren, Austin Lee, Ryan Lee, Micayla Lee, Gracie Roberts, Eli Roberts and Clark BonDurant; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Christ, 725 U.S. Route 35 West, Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Paul Nichols officiating. Interment will be held in Eversole Cemetery near New Lebanon, Ohio.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio and one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Friday.
