Edward J. "Ed" Herrmann

Edward J. “Ed” Herrmann age 62 passed on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, due to a short battle with bile duct & liver cancer at Reid Health. He was born on April 21, 1960, in Richmond, Indiana the son of the late Bernard F. & Helen E. (Miller) Herrmann. Ed was a 1978 National Trail graduate. He had worked at Montgomery Wards in Richmond from 1978 to 1985 where he met his wife. He was employed for 37 years at Boots & Hanks Truck Parts of New Paris, Ohio. Long time member of the Jefferson Township Boosters and had coached baseball for eight years, played softball in the leagues in Richmond, playing basketball with high school friends and a long time Denver Bronco’s Fan. Enjoyed camping, family trips, working in his yard and times with his son, family, nieces, and nephews.

Survivors include wife of 39 Years Cindy L. (Jeffers) Herrmann; Son Ryan E. & Arminda Herrmann of Indianapolis, IN; grandson: Owen Herrmann; brothers & sisters: Terry Davis of Eaton, Ohio, Mary & Denny Ross of Greenville, Ohio, Bernie & Sondra Herrmann of New Paris, Ohio, Betty & Mark Weedy of Plain City, Ohio, Brothers & Sisters-In-Law: Rhonda & Tim Toschlog of Williamsburg, IN and Roger Jeffers of New Paris, Ohio. Nieces: Tracy, Tiffany, Miranda, Megan; nephews: Todd, Tim, Denny, Cory, Kyle, Kevin and several great nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Sunday October 2, 2022, at the Harrison Street Baptist Church – 140 Harrison Street, New Madison, Ohio 45346. The Funeral Service will be held 2:00 P.M. at the church with Pastor Kyle Herrmann officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio.
