Eddie Nave

Eddie Nave, 81, of R.R. Eldorado, OH, died peacefully early Tuesday morning, 2013, at Greenbriar Nursing Home, Eaton, OH, following a short illness.

He was born September 27, 1932 in Burgin, Ky. the son of Charles S. & May (Cerns) Nave.

Eddie served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, and was discharged after two years to serve in the USAR. On November 23, 1955, he married the love of his life, Joan Rusk. Eddie started his own general contracting business, which he continued for nearly 50 years. He & Joan became the proud parents of 3 sons. He was a loving father & grandfather, who enjoyed all the animals on his "mini" farm.
His favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting. He was one of the original organizers of the Twin Valley Gun Club and the Gettysburg Gun Club. He loved going to animal swaps and flea markets, and never met a stranger. He would talk for hours to anyone and was always ready to help those who needed it. He will be missed by family and many friends.

Survivors include his wife Joan; sons: James E. & Anita Nave; Rusty Nave & Lisa Little; Robert & Nancy Nave; all of Eldorado; 7 grandchildren: Danny, Amanda, Ryan, Lynn, & Robert Nave; Jennifer Kiracofe; James (Becca) Murphy; 1 great-grandchild: Emma Kiracofe; 2 nephews; and his best friend "Buster" (the cat), who liked nothing better than riding in the golf cart with his master.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Joan Vornorf.

The Funeral Service for Eddie Nave will be Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 2:00PM. at the Bussard-Barnes-Vaniman Funeral Home, 311 N. Main St., Eldorado, OH. Friends may call from 11:00AM – 2:00PM Saturday. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery, Kimmel Rd., Eldorado, OH, with the service of the Preble County Honor Guard.
