Ed E. Helton

ED E. HELTON, age 79, of West Milton, Ohio, died Friday, September 4, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. Born on July 15, 1930 in War, West Virginia, he was the son of the late James Andrew & Mary (Seals) Helton. Ed proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Ed was a Fork Lift Operator at Inland in Vandalia, Ohio for many years. Ed was a member of Tri City Baptist Church in Port Charolette, Florida.

Preceded by his 1st wife, Ruby Deloris Helton; 2nd wife, Emma Helton; son, Eddie Helton; great grandson, Dominic Talley; brothers, James "Red" Helton, Jr., Roy Helton, Carley Helton, Henry Doak Helton, Ralph Helton and Andrew Powers; sisters, Sadie Mullins and Christine Clevinger.

Survived by his 3rd wife, Susan Helton of West Milton, Ohio; sons & daughters-in-law, Willie J. Helton of Eaton, Ohio, Kenneth E. & Janice Mowry of Greenville, Ohio, Terry Lee & Barbara Mowry of Laura, Ohio and Rick & Charlene Mowry of Arcanum, Ohio; daughters & son-in-law, Marline & Ronald League of Lewisburg, Ohio and Dixie Lee & Jim Albaugh of West Milton, Ohio; sister, Juanita Rice Davis of Grundy, Virginia; grandchildren, Kevin, Kent, Kimberly, Kris, Amy, Alicia, Heather, Josh, Dennis, Doug, Danton, Heather, Rebbecca, Erica, Amanda, Renee, Ronnie, Rachelle, Shanna, Mike and Dawn; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with Pastor Rick Mowry officiating. Interment will be held at Arlington Cemetery in Brookville, Ohio with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the funeral home.
